Seeing Liberty Building, Durham city treasure, destroyed - all 2 x 2 blocks

I think of freedom

And it's opposite.

And the forms those take.

 

I think of layers of identity and history and of what this building was to people

I think of the layers of my own identity lost to this illness and finding who I am amidst the rubble. I may be stronger for it, but that does not make it easier.

For Liberty and similarly building being lost to bigger & better and people losing jobs or loved ones or parts of themselves. For them as for us let us LIVE GOOD.
